Whenever I think of gratitude, I start with toenails.
From the way you cut them back to leave room for more growth,

there are parts of yourself too that you let go of while there are still parts that remain.

By cutting off those ends and getting rid of those old things, there’s room for more growth.

But more simply put, if you have toenails you have toes,

and if you have those you also have feet and legs, a body.

And if you’re cutting your toenails, you’ve got hands.

You’ve got arms, you’re using your brain, so you’ve got a head…
so much to be grateful for.

Gratitude is something that multiplies.
